Akhan building

On 21 May 2022 the President of Turkmenistan issued Resolution No. 102, “On the Construction of a Monument Featuring the Statue of the Renowned Ahalteke Stallion Akhan.” The monument was built by our private enterprise at the junction of Bitaraplyk Avenue leading to Aba Annayev village (Kärizek council) in the city of Arkadag. As a reminder, Akhan—an outstanding representative of the legendary Ahalteke breed—was entered into the Guinness World Records in 2018 for rearing and walking on his hind legs over a record distance. Erected on the initiative of Hero Arkadag, this unique sculptural composition, now a jewel of the new city, stands as a symbol of the nation‑wide affection for the “heavenly” Turkmen horses that embody our national pride. Today these magnificent steeds vividly represent Turkmenistan’s major accomplishments in every sphere. The Akhan Monument, inaugurated in the “Year of Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar” during the Revival of a New Epoch of the Powerful State, reflects the country’s commitment to developing a modern architectural and urban landscape across all provinces and to further glorifying the famed Ahalteke horses.
